PT2U started with a question, "could you come work with my son immediately after his race?" That single visit brought back the relaxed joy that Jeremy finds when he has unrestricted time to diagnose and educate someone to heal themselves...and being on site he was able to observe and evaluate while his client was in his most natural functional environment.
Since then the gradual build-up, and eventual transition into a full time clinic, was inevitable. With mobile therapy the back-to-back crush of the brick and mortar clinic isn't possible, and one-on-one treatment is required. These requirements paired with the low stress nature facilitate the time and clarity necessary for good diagnostic troubleshooting.
As a vanguard for mobile outpatient PT clinic in the Rogue Valley, PT2U's mission is to provide high quality 1-on-1 individualized care to maximize accessibility in the community with therapy focused on empowering a person's independence.
A southern Oregon native, Jeremy moved back to the valley in 2016 after a number of years in Texas. He graduated from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, with dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Computer Science and Geoscience. After working 10 years in educational publishing he returned to Texas State University in 2010 to pursue his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.
Jeremy grew up with a passion for the outdoors and an active lifestyle that he has continued to nurture with his wife. He has also taught partnered social dance for over 20 years and works to bring his love of movement into his practice.
During his earlier years he was incredibly competent at injuring himself while in the mountains, on the soccer pitch, while pole vaulting, or during long-distance triathlons. His experience as a patient in the physical therapy world and curiosity with his own spinal and lower extremity injuries led him to return to school and pursue physical therapy as a second career. During his clinic rotations he was introduced to the treatment philosophy of The McKenzie method, also known as Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT), and found a philosophy that matches.
While in Austin Jeremy studied with both the Seton Brain & Spine Institute and top sports therapists. He has experience treating everyone from those who are just starting an active healthy lifestyle to Olympic athletes. He enjoys education and has given talks with groups such as Apple and OSU Master Gardeners.
Outside the clinic Jeremy enjoys backpacking, travel, and rafting with his wife. In his free time, he can be found supporting and building the geocaching community in southern Oregon, remodeling his house, or researching the next great adventure. He has a passion for international travel, exploration, and is an avid landscape/astrophotographer.
Locally born and raised and focused on helping to keep your neighbors moving, PT2U strives to always provide to best service possible.
